
Intent to Enroll Form –
A form must be completed for each team enrolling. Practice fields will be assigned based on completed “intent to enroll” forms and payment. Time and location to submit form TBD.
Registration Team Fee -
The league will charge a team fee of $200 per team for K-4 (coach pitch) and $350 for 4th-8th grade (kid pitch). When turning in your payment, please provide just ONE CHECK for the total amount. Chacks can be made payable to "SFPAL". Cash is also accepted.
Individual Scholarships -
Scholarships for individual players are available. Please call 415.401.4666 for details.
SFYBL Waiver of Liability Form -
EACH PLAYER MUST have a SIGNED and COMPLETED SFYBL Waiver of Liability form. A child will not be accepted on your roster if he/she does not have a signed and completed Waiver of Liability form. Please note: a signature by a parent/guardian is required in 2 places. Forms must be submitted during registration by the coach and CANNOT be faxed to the office (there are just way too many to figure out which team it goes to – so when they come across we swiftly recycle them-however, parents/guardians can fax to the coach and we will accept faxed copies from coaches).
Team Roster –
NEW THIS YEAR: Team roster must be completed on line BEFORE you come into our office to register your team. You must enter your players and coaches online.

All information needed to fill out the roster is available on the SFYBL Liability Waiver form. Therefore you should collect completed SFYBL Liability Waiver forms from your players before logging on to complete your roster. A player is only eligible to play on one team in the League and cannot switch between teams during the league. A player may be dropped and/or added to another team prior to the Add/Drop deadline. You must have at least 12 players on your roster at the time of registration. Coach information is also needed on the roster. You MUST have at least TWO ADULTS (with passed background checks) listed on the roster with their own contact information listed. There is a second page for additional adults and Jr. coaches. Additional coaches, beyond the two required at registration may be added prior to the ADD/DROP deadline. An incomplete roster will not be accepted at registration – also, please be aware due to technological challenges you must complete the on-line roster in one sitting – it cannot be saved and continued at a later time.
Background Check -
All coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, trainers, or any other adults who give direction to team members, must have successfully completed a criminal background check since 2005. This consists of being “Live Scan” fingerprinted specifically with SFPAL. If you have been a coach for SFPAL or SFYBL in the past you may have already been “Live Scan” fingerprinted. You are advised to call the SFPAL office to check your status or obtain information on how to get fingerprinted specifically for SFYBL. (Please note, if you have been fingerprinted for another organization, you must still get fingerprinted for SFYBL—for privacy issues, we do not share your background information with other organization, nor do they share with us.)
Mandatory Coaches Meeting -
San Francisco Youth Baseball League requires all coaches to attend a coach’s mandatory meeting. You need only attend one meeting. One coach can only coach two teams. And one coach can only represent the team he or she will be coaching at the meeting. You will receive your coaches pass at the meeting.
March 11, 2008, 6:30 - 8pm @ Bryant Sports Basement (1590 Bryant St. between 15th & 16th St).
March 12, 2008, 6:30 - 8pm @ Presidio Sports Basement (610 Mason & Crissy Field).
March 14, 2008, 11am - 1pm @ Kezar Offices (behind Kezar Pavilion)
Reminder: In order to have your team register and be included in the league schedule coaches must attend one of these meetings.
Add/Drop -
Assuming roster availability, a player may be added or dropped to a roster no later than Friday, April 18, 2008 at 12 noon. Please call SFPAL to make an appointment to make changes to your roster.
Insurance -
SFYBL carries secondary-excess accident/injury insurance coverage on all participants. All injuries must be properly reported to SFYBL within 3 business days. Make sure all your players are listed on your roster and are on file with the SFYBL office and have completed an SFYBL Waiver of Liability form. This is mandatory and the child cannot participate unless you have complied with this requirement.
