2010 SAN FRANCISCO YOUTH BASEBALL CALENDAR (Dates may be subject to change)

Ongoing All coaches and assistant coaches must undergo a background check - please get your LiveScan Fingerprinting form at the SFPAL office 415-401-4666

January/February Players interested in participating and volunteer coaches sign up at your local Recreation & Park Dept. site.

Jan. 25 and 27, 7:00 - 8pm SF County Fair Building MANDATORY Coaches meetings located at the SF County Fair Building (Golden Gate Park). All coaches must attend one coach's meeting.

Feb. 8 - March 6 - Registration open

Feb. 22 - practice field assignments begin

Feb. 27 - K-3 coaching clinic, 9-12, location TBA, RSVP to bob@sfybl.com

March 1 - first day teams are allowed to use assigned practice fields

March 7 & 14 - Umpire Clinics

March 13 - T-ball and coach pitch 1st - 3rd grade teams cap, t-shirt and baseball pick up. This will be at Kezar Pavillion (755 Stanyan St.) from 10am to 2pm.

March 20 - SEASON BEGINS!

March 29 - April 10 - NO GAMES (due to SF public and parochial school Spring breaks)

April 18 - Last day to add player to 4th - 8th grade rosters.

May 15 - Last day of regular season play for 4th - 8th grades.

May 17 - Playoffs begin (4th - 8th grade).

May 22 - 4th - 8th grade Championships

May 23 - 4th - 8th grade All-Star games.

Week of June 1 - Summer All Star Tournament Tryouts 4th-8th grade.

June - July Tournament play for All Star teams 4th - 8th grade.
