Fees
Fees per non SF Rec & Park rec center teams are $375 for kid-pitch teams (4th grade through Middle School), and $250 for coach pitch and T-Ball teams. If you sign up through a SF Rec & Park rec center, they will inform you of the cost.
Registration Checklist
• Feb. 1, 2010 – Roster forms and waivers ready online (SFYBL.com) to be downloaded
• Feb. 8, 11, 13, 16, 17 – Bring completed roster form and waivers to a registration session. Make a copy beforehand for your records and submit the original to us. You must have a minimum of 12 players with a signed waiver (by parent or guardian) for each player.
• Along with submitting your roster and waivers at registration, you must also pay your entry fee. Only checks will be accepted. They are non-refundable and should be made out to SFYBL. The fee for T-ball and coach pitch teams is $250.00. The fee for player pitch entries is $375.00.
• Upon receipt of your roster, waivers, and entry fee, you will be issued a password and priority code for reservation of your practice field. Go online to http://fs12.formsite.com/sfrpsurvey/spballpracticerequest/index.html or take the long way by going to http://www.parks.sfgov.org and clicking on “Online Field Requests.” Next, click on “Spring, 2010.” Scroll down to “Youth League Baseball/Softball Teams (eg SFRPD, Parish)” and click on that link.
Finally, you will enter your password, which we will provide, and your priority code number, which we will provide as well. Although the folks at reservations will try to accommodate your first request, make sure you list 5 choices in order of preference.
• Make sure your coaches are fingerprinted through SFPAL. If the coach has previously been fingerprinted through SFPAL, he/she will not have to do it a second time. If the coach has not been previously been fingerprinted through SFPAL, he/she will need to fill out SFPAL's fingerprint request form, turn it in, and wait for clearance before being allowed to coach. Fingerprint request forms will be on-site at all registration sessions.
Background Check
All coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, trainers, or any other adults who give direction to team members, must have successfully completed a criminal background check since 2005. This consists of being "Live Scan" fingerprinted specifically with SFPAL.
If you have been a coach for SFPAL or SFYBL in the past you may have already been "Live Scan" fingerprinted. You are advised to call the SFPAL office at 415-401-4666 to check your status or obtain information on how to get fingerprinted specifically for SFYBL. (Please note: if you have been fingerprinted for another organization, you must still get fingerprinted for SFYBL - for privacy reasons, we do not share your background information with other organizations, nor do others share with us.)
